It is with deep regret that the Snowdonia Seven committee are announcing the cancellation of this year’s event.

As you can image, this has not been an easy decision for the team and we hope one that you as competitors will understand.

This is down to the escalating situation with Covid 19 which will not only seriously hamper our ability to organise and manage the event but there is the real chance that physically demanding exercise can exasperate the situation, this would include training for such events.

We also anticipate that legislation could soon be introduced that will include prohibitions on larger events of which our event would be one, we feel that that it is only fair on you that we have made this decision now instead of causing uncertainty over the event.

The event date for 2021 will be Saturday 3rd July.

Again this has not been easy decision and we hope it is one that you all understand, the mountains are not going anywhere.

The Snowdonia Seven is undoubtedly the most enjoyable (and challenging) event in the police sporting calendar.

It has been held annually since 1974 and still embodies the original ethos of developing ‘Fitness, Teamwork and Endurance’.  To complete the challenge, teams (of 4) must travel 22 miles, over 7 peaks (with a total ascent of almost 8000’) – in under 10 hours, carrying the safety kit detailed in the rules.

If you need any further information about the event that isn’t contained in the site please contact us and we’ll arrange a reply.

Hope to see you on the hill!

The date for the 2020 event is Saturday 4th of July
